About Active 20-30 Chico #100
Young professionals between the ages of 21-39 who are looking to serve their community, find friendship, develop leadership skills, and focus on helping the special needs children of Chico.
A Little History
The Active 20-30 Club of Chico has its roots as one of California's first clubs, originally chartering back in 1937. Years of history and tradition, building some of the great leaders in our great community. Since then we have provided young adults between the ages of 20 and 39 with the opportunity to hold leadership positions and effect a positive change in our community. From building baseball parks to hosting carnivals, parades, and shopping spree's. We are by far, the hardest working group of young professionals in the community.
When: We hold our bi-monthly meetings on the first and third Tuesday of the month, both start at 6pm. The first tuesday meeting will be followed by our board meeting which is where we vote on how we can best serve our community. Each meeting runs approx. 1hour and are usually precluded with a happy hour meet and great. We also have several social and community support events throughout the year.
Where: We hold our meetings at Mountain Mike's Pizza, located at 1722 Mangrove in Chico.
Why: You know why! The question I get most often is... why the age limit? The truth is, there are a lot of service organizations out there. We like to work closely with other organizations, but want to stay focused on our mission statement and give young people the opportunity to shine.
